How to Track Someone Doing HYROX in 2026

Every station. Every split. Wherever you are.

Your partner is racing in Berlin. You’re at home in Manchester. Refreshing the official HYROX results page every five minutes isn’t watching a race, and you’ll miss the bit that matters. Here’s how to actually follow them.

The fastest way: track them on ROXFIT

ROXFIT shows live splits, station-by-station, with push notifications for every update. Set it up the night before the race and the whole thing runs itself.

The setup takes a minute:

  1. Open ROXFIT, tap the Track button on your Home feed
  2. Search the athlete’s name and select the race they’re entered in
  3. Tap Track race
  4. Enable notifications for Start / End, All stations, and Rank changes

You’ll get pinged when they cross the start line, when they leave each station, when their ranking shifts, and when they cross the finish. The race plays out on your phone wherever you are.

The full Tracking an Athlete guide covers every step with screenshots if you need them.

What you’ll actually see

Once tracking starts, the race card shows the athlete’s current status: Upcoming with a start time, Live with a red dot during the race, Finished with a green time after the line, or DNS / DNF / DQ if something goes wrong.

Splits land station by station: SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, Wall Balls, plus the 8 runs between them. Overall ranking and age group ranking update as the race develops, so you can see them climbing or holding position in real time.

Sharing the race with family

Once the athlete has been assigned a start time, they can share a personal tracking link from ROXFIT. Anyone they send it to opens the app straight to their race, or to the app store if they don’t have ROXFIT yet.

That means the athlete sends one link to a group chat the day before the race, and everyone supporting them is set up in seconds. No bib numbers to look up. No manual search. Just tap and follow.

Watching from the venue

Even at the race, you can’t be at every station. The course is complex, the crowds are heavy, and you’ll lose them between the SkiErg and the Sled Push.

Track the same way you would from home. Notifications come through on your wrist as the athlete clears each station, so you know where to position yourself for the next one. A few practical things:

When the data actually goes live

Live tracking only works if everything’s set up at the right point in the race weekend. The rough sequence:

Set everything up the night before and you don’t have to think about it on the day.

Frequently asked questions

When do HYROX live splits start updating?

As soon as the athlete crosses the start mat. Each split lands within a few seconds of the timing system recording it. If you’re not seeing updates, the race probably hasn’t started yet for their wave.

How do I find an athlete’s bib number?

You don’t need it. Search by name in ROXFIT or on the official HYROX results page once start lists are published. Bib numbers are assigned closer to race day and are useful for confirming you’ve got the right person, but searching by name is faster.

Can you track HYROX Doubles or Relay teams?

Yes. The same tracking works for HYROX Open, Pro, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Relay entries. Search the team or partner entry the same way and follow the same setup steps.

Can you watch HYROX online if you’re not at the venue?

Live video coverage is limited to World Championships and major events through the official HYROX broadcast on YouTube. For most races, live splits via ROXFIT or the official results page are the way to follow what’s happening on the floor.

Set it up the night before

Install ROXFIT. Search the athlete. Turn on notifications. Tell anyone supporting them to do the same, or wait for the share link once the start time lands.

That’s the difference between refreshing a results page all afternoon and actually watching the race unfold.
